this didnt feel all that bad, until i climbed later in the day with my daughter. the tank was very low.
i did some weighted pullups that evening and i really feel it. good idea coach? any feedback?

Weigted pull-ups are a great idea. One of the classic CrossFit workouts, which we will do once we have pull-up bars (soon) will be 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 weighted pull-ups.
