This is a hybrid of the last two National WODs, both of which I sucked hard at. The 5K run was at a snail's pace for some reason. The Snatches, I did at Stacy's place (CrossFit Compact) with bumper plates:
95-95-100-105 (fail)-105-115-120 (Pathetically, a PR).
This actually felt pretty good. I think I might finally be able to get 135 overhead on the snatch, which is the very last thing stopping me from being able to complete all the CF WODs as RX. I cannot do 50, or even 30 Muscle-Ups from a full lockout, but from a bent arm, I can.
I was dreading this after a 2 week hiatus, but it felt good to have a workout again.
22:40 subbed 25# kettlebell
20:00 (but had to give directions to someone wondering how to get to Walnut Creek)
Must stop using the womens RX weight. Time to move it up a notch.
19:44 with 35# KB. This felt much too light, but unfortunately the 20kg just felt too sketchy with my left hand - hopefully I can move up to that weight soon.
Splits: 4:44 | 4:52 | 5:15 | 4:53
The smoke, weird lighting and incessant train horns lent the whole thing a nice end-of-the-world-type atmosphere.
Today was just NOT my day.
3 rounds last run was 400m
24:56
Must learn how to eat on a consistent schedule.
25:55 with 35#. Running sucked as usual.. :-(
