CrossFit East Bay Rest Day 9-30-08: Sandbags/Logos/Projects
New Logo by James M. I'm not sure from a marketing standpoint if you are supposed to use more than one logo, but I love them both. I'm pretty sure this one is going to be my next Tattoo.
Andrea and I are going to be getting more Sandbag making supplies: if anyone would like to help I will be at GWPC from Noon-1:45 constructing them.
There are a couple of simple projects that need to be done: we need to build PVC paralettes (I have detailed instructions) and the tires need handles. If anyone wants to take on these project let me know. They are no more than an hour or two each.

I would use this one for t-shirts and Daniel's for website.
Thanks Daniel for the advice on those damn bezier curves!!!
Looks great, James. Try playing with the brushes palette on those strokes, you could give them a more stylized, calligraphic look that might be neat.
I'd be happy to wear either logo, personally.
Just to clarify, Daniel, your logo is awesome. I'm just not very visual and it's easier to imagine the black and white on a t-shirt.
I am doing a strength program for a couple of months. It is not a strict strength program, in that I'm including some oly lifting and pullups, but it's largely just slow lifts. Anyone that wants to come lift with me is welcome to, at any time. I will not be attending Crossfit Eastbay Classes any longer, as some of you may know. This invitation is a social one. I am not a trainer and don't claim to be one. I have greatly enjoyed getting to know you all and it's been an honor to watch you all progress by leaps and bounds. You are an amazing crew, both in the gym and out. I'll see you around.
xoxox,

Indeed, Daniel's creation is sweet.
I think both logos are great---maybe we should make a shirt with James's bigger on the back and Daniel's smaller and set to one side on the front.
I rode about 250 miles today, so I had a lot of time to think.
I see these logos as being one and the same: the winged logo is simply the bridge logo seen from the side, although I'm not sure how the hybrid would look.
I am really leaning towards getting the winged bumper as a tattoo a la Henry Rollins search and destroy, with seven layers of feathers radiating outwards from the bumper in the seven colors of the visible spectrum, and the wings wrapping up and under my existing arm band tats.
