Jim and I went on a little Halloween run in Thousand Oaks (a predominantly white, upper class suburb of LA), and we found ourselves sufficiently scared for Halloween. On our 6 mile run we counted the McCain and Obama signs, along with the Prop 8 signs. Our results were:
McCain/ Yes on 8- 35 signs
Obama/ No on 8- 13 signs
Be afraid, be very afraid. If this is happening in CA, just think about the rest of the country...

That is one of the Reddest places in the nation. Several polls show Obama with a 20% lead in CA. If he loses (the popular, electoral, or especially CA), I will seriously consider systemic and widespread vote fixing. Those Diebold election machines scare me.
Actually it is Ventura county- between LA and Santa Barbara. But I hope you are right, CA should be a no-brainer. I didn't mean to be a downer, I am totally counting on Obama winning it all!
And sorry to post a non-crossfit entry. But, we were running and counting, so it seemed fitting.
I guess you have never perused the rest day comments on crossfit.com. Politics is a big part of CF, and we are in the minority as it has a heavy right wing slant. But I love Coach just the same, even though I disagree with his politics.
I love our socialist affiliate!! We spread the crossfit wealth!

Coach is definitely 100% for Mccain. He is a Libertarian, like me, but with a conservative rather than liberal bias.

I'm digging these short wods w/ 400 m runs.
Max added whatever numbers I gave him and came up with 105. I'm not certain of the breakdown. I know it started with 25-20-20...and then I don't recall, except for the last round, which was...12?
How Elaine did 50 in the first round is just beyond me. I'm fairly certain that she's bionic or something.
