James M. is coming along--able to top rope and boulder routes that took most of us months to get. He's amazing!!! And Elaine, well, Elaine was probably climbing routes in vitro. Thanks for organizing, Daniel and Bekka!
Oh brother....I climb about as gracefully as a newborn calf walks. Hopefully my technique can catch up with my CrossFit strength and I'll stop doing pullups all the way up the damn wall.
Thanks so much to Rebecca and Daniel for inviting me to climb with them and kicking off this new Monday social event. It's nice to be able to hang out with you folks every once in a while without feeling like I want to throw up :-)
James,
You're very graceful for a beginner (and even for a not-so-beginner), actually. Also, you pick up on stuff fast; a little instruction would go far fast with your climbing.
re:
"It's nice to be able to hang out with you folks every once in a while without feeling like I want to throw up :-)" ROF and LMAO!!!
It's great that there's so much interest in Social Climbing, I'm already really looking forward to next Monday.
So, our thinking is that we'll bounce back and forth each week between GWPC and Ironworks, both for variety of walls and because some gyms are more convenient to some folks than others. If folks are into it, maybe we could carpool to Mission Cliffs sometime.
We'll post the location to the Monday Rest Day comments here each week, so be sure to check!
That's Evelyn above and to the right, too. (not in red). I think that was a 10c?
correct.
'Twas a good time. Thanks all for coming!
Next week: Ironworks, 6pm. Be there.
We actually had a climbing session at Ironworks Monday, for those unable to process small details like location information.
