Don't forget to post Polly's time for yesterday's wod (and whomever got the best male Rx time).
Re-posted re: Sunday's KTE and towel pull-up wod:
I'll amend my previous tongue-in-cheek comment, which I think came off as pretty snarky. That was not the intent, btw. The towel pull-ups are way way harder than the rope climbs. Rope climb requires technique and some strength. Towel pull-ups are just brute strength. I didn't even attempt those. To those that did the 21 x 3 towel pull-ups...um, holy shit!
I did a 5K yesterday and my CrossFit mentality took over. When the start gun went off, I bolted and left my sister and Shane behind. I didn't know I was supposed to run with her :P
LOL. Atta girl!
Matthew and I both agreed that Sunday's WOD left us as sore as any CF WOD in a long while, thats a plus in our book.
I was starting to think I was the only one who is sore.
Social climbing was great! Thanks to John, James, Chuck, Polly, Evelyn, Max, Andrea and anyone else I may have forgotten. Particular thanks to James, who patiently belayed me as I fell my way up my first 11a.
My climbs: 10a(o), 10c(o), 11a(f++), 10b(o)
I am happy as hell about that 11a.
Congrats, Daniel!!!
...and not a straightforward 11A. A heel hook! Why didn't I think of that.
Indeed, social climbing was a lot of fun yet again. Nice job on the 11a Daniel!!
My climbs: 10a(o), 10b(o), 10a(o), 10d(nope), 10a(f), 10b(f), 10b(o), then bouldered a bit - a few v0 and a few v1
My forearms are not accepting any instructions from my brain today.
Jesus, that's a lot of climbing James. I typically max out at six climbs.
Yeah, I think I maxed out at four, but the crossfit mentality that Elaine mentioned above kicked in, and I kept climbing with my non-responsive club arms anyway.
We're way overdue for the "You say it's a cult like it's a bad thing." t-shirts.
