Due to a vendor mistake and a duplicate order, I would up with an extra 20lb Dynamax Medicine ball (same kind as at IronWorks). I'd like to sell for $90 or trade for a 10,12,or 14lb ball.
Day three completed and it's getting easier, thank goodness. Daniel's cashew, pistachio and pine nut concoction helped and it was quite yummy. Thank you, Daniel!
3 days, no sugar, no problem. Although, I had a near foul when I was about to pop a piece of gum into my mouth. Technically, it does have artificial sweeteners. That was a close one.
Oh, here's the article I was talking about to some folks after class, with the hierarchy of cooking oils. If you don't have the patience to read the whole article, just skip to the chart at the end. Very handy.
Cool, Daniel. Thanks! btw: I put your cookbook in my backpack. I cannot go to the gym w/o it, so you'll get your cookbook when next we both attend class. Also, here's the weird-adjustable kbs that I mentioned a few months ago. They look awkward. http://www.kettlestack.com/images/kettlebells.3272.white.sun.gif
Day 3 done. Chuck, I will take your medicine ball. Email me: gita.dombrowski@gmail.com I cannot make tonight's workout. Max, can you post or PM me the warm up so that I can make up the workout at home.
Day 3 done. Actually no booze, no grains, no starches of any kind for 5 days.
I have been doing the anabolic diet for 9 days now and have lost 8.5 pounds. Obviously, more than half of this must be water weight, but those are good results.
You're rocking that diet, Max! Woo hoo!
I lost three lbs (I'm sure mostly water) but better yet, my belly is looking better already. What's great is I'm eating plenty of good food, so, it's not like I'm starving.
Day 3 completo.
Withdrawals are getting better. 4 pm is a tough time of day - energy crashes and I really want a sweet treat but nuts and fruit seem to be working. Other than that, I'm sleeping better, mood is very flat line (just a bit more even than usual), and workouts feel good.
I do find myself whining a lot. I kind of like to whine and look sad and ask for ponies but on the inside I'm really doing fine. It seems that whining is the new sugar. How great for everyone I know....
Formula: 8 hours of sleep - sugar + whining = Pretty Darn Good
T-Shirts!!!! They looks pretty awesome - can't wait :-)
Ynez you're hilarious. Keep up the good work! And go ahead and whine if it makes you feel better ;-) ... Though you might be spending more time on your own for a while ... >:-D
Looks like I'm the first to blow the no sugar challenge. By the way, for those of you still going strong, I highly recommend the sushi at samurai sushi boat in Oakland. I'm only kidding. Everyone stay strong. I'll be back on track tomorrow.
For today's WOD, I did, 225, 275, 295, 305, 315
I felt good today. Must be the sushi rice.

Nothing fancy:
Run 800 meters or so
Range of Motion
Burgener Warm-Up
50 squats
10X bar
warm-up set 10x95
Deadlift 10-10-10-10-10
You should try to do this with 75% of your 1RM or best guess at 1RM

Ynez, you're very very cute. And you can whine all day and I'll still find you terribly endearing. As for the pony, not sure I can help you with that.
