Also did yesterday's wod w/ Elaine upstairs after wards:
30# dumbbells across
5x6 press
5x8 push-press
5x10 push-jerk
Got some nasty wrist bruises from this. Wish we'd been able to use kettlebells!
Quatrième jour sans sucre.
Vive la révolution!
Day 4 Done.
4 day done
Day 4 done.
I think. We went out to indian food yesterday, and were careful not to order anything that might be suspect in the sauce (ie, tikka masala), but you can never be totally sure with food you haven't prepared yourself.
Day 4 done.
Day 4 done.
Max, got any extras of the mens tshirts?
Daniel - Max said in class yesterday that if you've eaten at a restaurant, you've consumed sugar. He also said that if you've asked your waitperson to check with the kitchen about sugar content and they said there's none - they were lying. Isn't he so mean? And wrong?
Well, I don't think I consumed sugar yesterday. I ordered Palak Paneer and a Lamb Seekh Kabob at an Indian restaurant myself. I drank gin and club soda at Albatross later that evening. Am I still good or what?
Sadly, sugar is very common for marinades, so your kabob may be suspect. Also, I looked up palak paneer recipes online. When I googled just palak paneer, about 1/5 had sugar in them. When I added the word sugar, every last recipe had sugar in it. Well, duh. But my point is that it seems to be a common ingredient for that dish. I never would have guessed. How fucked up is that?
I have more men's shirts in every size. Lots of Mediums.
Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
I guess by those rules I didn't get day 4 after all. Considering how often we eat out, I'm suddenly not going to do well. Might as well get the ice cream.
Fear of the unknown! Mwah ha ha ha ha. I think I just absorbed sugar through my fingers from leftover M&M crumbs. I'm out!!!
I believe in order for the - "if you eat out you fail" stipulation to stick, it should have been explicitly mentioned in the rules.
What is the point of making this so hard it's impossible to succeed, exactly?
I agree, Bekka.
If you eat out with the honest intetion to stay sugar free we will consider that success. So Leon is still in. However if you want to take it to a higher lelel eating out is a bad idea. Sugar is everywhere.
Dammit!
Allright I ate sugar yesterday :(
I dunno Raph - I just typed Palak Paneer into google, and looked at the first 6 recipies - none of them had sugar in them.
The kebab might have had, some marinades do, but if you specificaly orederd it because you honestly thought it wouldn't ... I'd say you're fine since it's entirely possible it did not.
And out of the 6 lamb kebab recipies i checked, not one of THEM had sugar either.
I offer my "C Status" to the collective judgment of the CFEB community. I've been in Vegas the last two days and thus obviously eating my meals out. While I haven't asked the wait staff to check with the kitchen if they brine'd the chicken in sugar (they probably did), I also haven't ordered anything that clearly had sugar in it.
Little Lynn
did WOD earlier today
total ROM pushups/5 rounds: 90
total pullups (ring pullups)/5 rounds: 54
I did the WOD at my sister's gym in Petaluma (which was a strange, strange experience---not one drop of sweat in the place and people were looking at me like I was crazy for doing pushups and pullups. I got fewer funny looks for doing burpees on the street during the burpee challenge than for doing pushups at that gym.) My shoulders are still injured so I didn't really push it with the WOD---especially with the pushups, which hurt more.
pullups: 20-11-9-9-8
pushups: 20-15-15-10-10
total: 127
25/11, 25/10, 16/8, 16/7, 16/8
(gita either tied overall or beat me by one)
