Is not the Firebreathers workout for tomorrow max press? I want something hardcore. 12+ hour work days have left me with a raging headache and the desire for a workout that will make me sick. Gallons of milkfat are calling for a burning. 5X5s won't cut it.
FBT is Sundays now, but yes, it will be 1RM Press. I'm thinking odds for metcon on Saturday look good, if that's the burn you're looking for.
Gita: you could always do Murph afterwards. With a weight-vest if you're truly nuts.
And people say I'm a whiner, puleeze... Gita, you should have been in class all week getting destroyed like the rest of us.
I think Ynez is my favorite online forum commentator ever.
Princess Raindrop, you are a whiner, embrace it. Just because I work 12, 13, 14 or more hours does not stop me from doing my workouts. It just means I get less sleep. Every day, rain, shine, sickness, rest day be damned. I have followed all the workouts all week and found them kind of light so I added to them. However, the more time I spend staring at my computer the more I am driven for a brutal workout, hence the post. I think I will see y'all Saturday, I have a plan for tonight.
Gita: Make up yesterday's WOD.
Oooh, I'm getting my popcorn and front row seat to this bitchfest. Arce vs. Dombrowski. Bring it!!!
I did the workout last night at about midnight. Save I ran up my hill and did 65lb hang snatches instead of KB swings. My post was supposed to be funny, it is pretty hard to make me mad, although I hope I got Arce fired up that would be fun.
See, Arce??? I told you he wasn't really mad. You should try to be more offensive. I'll teach you a few things. LOL. You two are some of my most favorite people at CFEB. Have fun tonight, Gita. We want a full report later ;)
re: firebreathers, the last week in Feb looks like it's going to be bench press, which is something that I've never done. I tried a couple days ago and it was horrible. The bar was waving all over the place, my stabilization just wasn't happening, and for some reason it felt much more scary than overhead presses---maybe because when you're standing you can always jump out of the way, but when you're lying down, if it falls there is no escape---anyway, I felt trapped, even with a spotter. Does anybody want to practice benching with me? Or Max, maybe we can work on them during the firebreathers class this week?
Alex changed the Murph record to reflect you did it, with vest, C2B in 50:00 or less. Please confirm.
Nope, I had it wrong, sorry about that. He did write it down, and he did it in 56:04.
