From the annals of the body is a REALLY complex system where complex dynamics are the rule:

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/12/health/research/12exer.html?_r=1&em

I this should have been the first line of the article - not the last:

“I wouldn’t change recommendations for anyone based on one study,” he said. “This is one small piece of the puzzle.”

That should probably be the first line of most such articles.

did this tues
135x5, 185x5, 215x3, 275x3, 315x1 PR, fail 330 (thought I had 2x BW at 330, but alas it was not to be)

I have already bookmarked this for republishing here on a rest day.

325-375-385-395-395-400 (fail, moved it)-400 (fail nailed to the deck.

This was a major math fail. I somehow failed to put 400 on the bar, and I got just insanely pumped up to do it. I did 395 twice. It came up easily, and, on the plus side I BELIEVED it was 400, so I may be over my metal problems with 400. I am certainly going to try this again next week.

395 is tied for a lifetime PR, and I have not lifted this much since 2007.

I actually felt pretty good, but having to politely lower the metal plates at the non-CF gym wore my back out pretty quick.

225x3-275-295-305-315-330PR-350NPR!!!!

followed with some snatch practice (uuuuuugly), then benchpress and biceps curls. But Max definitely had a better pump during his curls.

First time doing deads with bumpers, coupled with doing them in front of others and it helped a ton. It's a PR by 30lbs. But it pales in comparison to Brandon's absurd 50# jump.

thanks for the photo, Max!!

Last night was fun! Tonight will be about an hour and a half of me huffing and puffing and chugging my ass around the block... whew.
