CrossFit East Bay WOD @ BIW 090617
AMRAP in 10 minutes:
5 Deadlift 315/205
10 OHS 115/75
15 Double-Under
We will run 10 minute four-person heats at:
5:15
5:27
5:39
5:51
and
6:15
6:27
6:39
6:51
As soon as previous athletes are done you will stage your weights. You will have 2 minutes to do this, so plan ahead. Heats will start on time, and there will be a limit of 16 people per class. If class size is small we can be a little less militaristic. Deadlifts will be done with metal plates. No exceptions.
Suggested Scaling:
DL 225#/185#
OHS 95#/65#
or
DL 185#/135#
OHS 65#45#

one of my favorite photos of Polly. awesome.
gotta sub them OHS again :(
Laying down the law with those metal plates, huh? You do realize those are far less impressive, photo-op-wise...
...fiiiine, no cheating it is!
3 plates on each side is still damn impressive! and the looks of pain and struggle ERRR virtuosity will surely overcome those wussy metal plates ;)
camera's already packed and ready to go!
It is just that there are not enough plates for this it would not be fair to let some people bounce/drop and others not.
even at last year's games, they didn't allow dropping on the deadlift/burpee wod, so might as well get used to it now/
Well it is damn unlikely that there will be DL as heavy as this, so if you can handle this you are def ready as far as DL are concerned.
I love that photo.
I hate recovery weeks.
I was thinking of doing AMRAP in 10 minutes at 115# DL and 45# OHS (approximately 50% of scaled weights), but that sounds like it'll just be a different kind of horrible...
Daniel: I'm thinking 185/65 is the way to go.
3 rounds + 3 DL. Damn that was way harder (muscularly) than I was anticipating! Polly rocked it- 6 rounds!
