We start our training for the CF Games 2010 today. As of now there will be no separation between competitors and everyone else. If you are a casual CF'r you won't even notice the difference.
However, I have two requests: get a notebook to track your results in or use a blog, app, etc. We will be doing a lot of benchmarking and measuring going forward, and I need to know what is working and what is not. If I ask you what your 1RM in a lift is in a lift and I know you have done it, and you don't have a clue, I'm afraid I won't be able to take you as seriously as a trainee. Nor will your results be as good if you don't help me help you.
Along those same lines, please, comment daily on all WODs that you attend in classes, as well as writing as detailed impressions/criticisms of the workouts as you have the time and inclination to do. Nothing helps me more as a Coach than to have impressions of the WOD, right away, all in one place.
Snatch: 100-105-110(pr)
C&J: 135-140-145(pr)
Oly Total: 255
Considering the glacial pace of my improvement in the Oly lifts, I'm happy with my five pound PRs.
Snatch: 105-115-120
C&J: 145-150-155
Oly Total: 275
Legend: O hit/X miss
Snatch: 145 X - 145 O - 160 X
Clean and Jerk: 190 O - 200 O (PR) - 210 X
Oly-Total: 345
Phew... Almost busted my wrist on the 210# C&J. It was too big of a jump after setting my PR. Would've been best to go to 205#. Based on how I landed (on my ass) I let the bar come too far forward and tried to catch it with vertical elbows. As I came down and hit my full squat depth, it hit my wrist and hurt like a mother!! Bad press from the ground + bad catch = miss
Slightly upset about the snatch. That 160# was over my head and I think I lost focus. Nuts! I'm gonna nail that this month, I swear!!
Really wound down after yesterday's 400s. It is going to take some adjusting to get used to the volume I have in mind after my recent cherry-picking.
Snatch - 115 (inside at squat racks, scared to really go for it)
Clean and Jerk 175 - just barely pulled this out even though last week I muscle cleaned 180 like it was PVC.
Snatch:65-70F-70F
C&J:85-90F-90
Oly Total: 155
No PRs, but I'm happy with this since I was on vacation for awhile. Thanks Polly for the critiques! Hopefully I can improve on my snatch technique.
Snatch = 165
C&J= 225
Total = 390lbs
Snatch was garbage, but I didnt stop!

Considering my ankle injury from last night, I'm just glad I was even able to do this. Shout Out! to Polly for coaching....
Oops... Olympic Total = 170#
Snatch: 135-145(PR)-155(F)
C&J: 185-200(F)-190
Oly Total: 335
Both my snatches and cleans were power rather than particularly technical. My technical skill goes totally out the window when the weights get relatively heavy.
Snatch:
35-45-50(f) matched my snatch PR
Clean & Jerk:
55-60-65(f) got 65 on a 4th attempt - matched my clean PR
Total:
105
bw: 170#

snatch:

130 PR
C&J
155 PR

170F
TOTAL: 280 PR (1st time)
Andy convinced me to go for bodyweight on the last set of C&J and I totally had it, the clean was a joke, and the Jerk, i FINALLY got hip power into it, but couldn't get the bar overhead. Lack of flexibility killed me!
Snatch: 145-155(f)-155

Never attempted these lifts before felt like an idiot...hence defining "new and unusual" workouts...:)
