In the above graphic from Google Trends, we see continuously increasing search volume in CrossFit. Also note the "January Effect" on the commercial gyms as people make New Year's resolutions, not present in CF.

In the below graphic, we see interest in CrossFit outstripping interest in Bikram Yoga.

Thanks to CrossFit Sweat Shop for pointing this out.

Raph is the reason I never go shirtless. I just don't look as good.

Rest day tomorrow while traveling, more rest for my evidently destroyed knees will be good. They were sore just from hopping off the rings today.

I practiced Bikram Yoga for 5 years, and then I got bored of it. It was the same thing day in and day and out, and it just became too monotonous. While it was great at increasing my flexibility, it was sorely lacking in the areas of strength and conditioning. As someone who plays hockey, strength and conditioning are very important. I was drawn to crossfit because of how varied and dynamic the workouts are. I'm looking forward to my first CFEB class once I return from my Thanksgiving vacation.

Go shirtless Brandon. You crush me on a lot of the WODs that we do. Permission to go shirtless should be based on performance, not on bodyfat percentage :o)

165lbs on the cleans. THe weight felt fine but polly and max (and the raf/raph) hammered me on my HORRIBLE form.

90-90-90-90-90

175# - horrible power cleans. Andy and Polly thanks for pointers. Going to try and rebuild with decent form from low weight

Incredibly frustrating. The weight feels so light yet I just cant get under the bar. I really wish I could have made one of the classes to collect some pointers. my cleans are something like watching apes work with tools

I was so mad about the cleans that I decided to do something I'm good at so I did some bench also. 205x6-225x4-235x4-245x2-255x1

why don't we bench every day?

I could not get the groove. I think I really need extensive warm-ups rather than set across for the classic lifts. I suspect others may too. We will try it for the rest of the cycle and see what happens.

If I can find the time (I need a 25-hour day lately) I will try and squeeze this in tomorrow.

Joe - If I could figure out how in our scenario to get 10-15 people to bench I am open to it. Not every day.

255 is good. It has been forever since I could do that. Once upon a time I had a nearly 300# Bench and little else.

135-135-145-145-155. Last set felt better than some in the middle. Elbows up keeps me back on my heels. Should work on front squats to keep the knees from wobbling.

Finally got this done with excellent form. Some of the best lifts I have ever done, felt dialed. Ran out of time, but certain I could have done 175 with good form for a triple.
