This is the first time I've pushed myself in a 5K. I usually run between 27-30 minutes so it was an improvement...a painful, painful improvement. I'm hoping next time I don't get a sideache 12 minutes into it.

According to MapMyRun, it's 5k from my house to IronWorks, but it isn't really comparable since it's all slightly downhill and you have to deal with cross traffic. Still, it was a beautiful morning for running. Great work everyone.

A solid time, but I'm pretty beat. I think the switch to a 3 on 1 off schedule will end up benefitting me. I suppose going back to stretching, foam-rolling, etc. daily would probably help the cause as well.

It seems I have never run 5k at CFEB before, but my last official 5k in Nov'08 was 28:44.

37:26. I've never run exactly 5k before. I ran something close but a little shorter last Christmas in 29 min and change. The one 10k I ran took 82 min - so at least this was less than half of that. I was working a 4:30 min of running with 30 seconds walking schedule, which might have been overly ambitious. I developed a horrible side stitch that just would not go away in lap #5 and had to walk most of the last mile or so.

Started the first 10 minutes on track for sub 20, then thought I was going to die of a heart attack. Then had to slow down a lot. I also did this on a tread mill, which I hope isn't cheating.
