This looks like a lot of fun. I can't wait to try it out.

Is scaling (besides muscle-ups) allowed on the advanced workout (ie, if I can't static press 115)? Or should I just do the intermediate?

MT

13 minutes, scaled the muscle ups to 20 pull ups.
This was a fun workout, tried to do 5 rep work sets of bench press afterwards and felt pretty weak.

You can scale as desired, but I only want those who

A.) Understand the workout

and

B.) Won't complain about DNF'ing

to try it.

I would like to request a workout called "Nina" in which all participants are allowed complain all the way through. Such a workout will probably include wall balls (which make me want to cry).

I will do the workout as prescribed today and might DNF, but since that's what its designed to do, I will take it like a man.

Bah, take it like a CHAMP! :)

You're right Andi--like a true CHAMP (not a man. Men are girls). =P

Not men who are CHAMPs!

MT

So men are girls, and girls are CHAMPs? But what are CHAMPs? And if men are girls, then what IS a man?

Brandon, I think philosophers have been asking something like that for ages ;P

All CHAMPs are men and women, not all men and women are CHAMPs

MT

Can we still complete the advanced WOD even if we DNF or should we just give up and go home with our heads hung low? ;)

Did the Intermediate version, still sucked. Finished at 14:00.

MT

12:28RX the 115# bar felt surprisingly heavy after all the other work

9min and change scaled+ version

30 Burpees
5 Muscle-Ups*
12 left-hand Press .75P
30 Jump Squats
5 L-Pull-Ups
12 left-hand Push-Press .75P
30 Push-Ups
5 rope C2B Pull-Ups
12 left-hand Push Jerk .75P

stopped muscle ups after two reps. First time even attempting a dip in 4 months!

14:10 sc (95#)

I liked this in a perverse way. It looks completable in the given time limit if the stars are properly aligned :)

DNF, I had 6 push-ups left and lost a lot of time changing plates out because I got to the static press and couldn't get 75lb overhead.

I stopped after 0 attempts and did:

Half a pie of Zachery's deep dish special
One Fat Tire

20:20Rx

I scaled this in all sorts of ways and still DNF. I look forward to trying this again after a good night's sleep and in about two years when I can do 5 consecutive muscle ups.

DNF
I got thru to 9 pushups. Strict press was in sets of 1 scaled at 60# (heavy for me).

I am also a member of the DNF club...with 2 rounds of burpees and 1 round plus 8 push jerks at 75#. Felt rather clobbered at the end.

DNF. I think I was almost done with the push ups when the clock ran out. scaled to 75#.

MT

This WOD ranks as a favorite for me even though I DNF. At 15 minutes I just completed the 20 pull ups and 20 bar dips instead of the muscle ups that I can't yet do. So, I went upstairs and finished the whole thing (RX weight)...total time...35 mins. I bet that once I get muscle ups I can finish in time.
