The live feed of the games is pretty good, glad I have something to replace the World Cup. The first team wod is brutal...that's a crapload of heavy thrusters.
2 rounds
70 thrusters (155/105)
50 c2b pullups
100m buddy carry
I CAN'T STOP WATCHING. My billable hours for the day just went down the drain.
Hahaha glad your work day is ruined too. This is crazy, only a handful of teams have even finished the workout...it really requires a well-balanced team.
I will host a games-watching party Sunday on my biggish screen across from GWPC. Details to come.
Watching people rowing so hard the actual rowing machine moves backward is awesome.
Max - Is tomorrow 1RM deadlifting day? I need to make sure I have proper shin protection on so I don't tear them up again.
Yesterday's workout--RX-16:14, I think? The lunges killed me. I haven't felt that much pain in a while. It was kind of embarrassing.
3-3-3-3-3 of the Complex Hang Clean, Split Jerk, Squat Snatch @ 95# (60% of 1RM Snatch of 150#)
Snatch progression.
Snatch progression - hang clean, split jerk, squat snatch

Mobility work
Thurs. WOD (walking lunges and sit ups) 23:00. Then worked on D-U.
I watched the live feed a lot of my workday and from 6:30 tonight until it ended. Totally captivating.
Beginner WOD: 4:24
Practiced split-jerks (what with never having done them before) with 53lbs
Wife-carrying, which is what Max learned to do today: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wife_carrying
Snatch progression - hang clean, split jerk, squat snatch

It doesn't work so well in jeans.
I think we should all work out in jeans sometimes. Train for real life. Hell, we should have CrossFit in a suit day (a suit from Goodwill but a suit nonetheless).
This being deload week, I foolishly tested my DL.
350x1
400x1 (tied for all time PR)
410 (broke off ground about 6 inches)
With proper warm-up and lifting shoes, a 10 or 20 pound PR should be doable putting me a little bit closer to my goal of a 500# deadlift.
