9:00'ish minutes, scaled. I was pretty happy about the cleans; used 155# but think I could do this WOD with more weight...like 165-175#. My HSPU's degraded to kipping then to piking.
10:02, 100#, HSPU with medium side of yoga block
185# on the cleans and strict HSPU. 9:55 I think... the cleans were the hard part for me. I really could use some improvement on my starting strength (i.e. deadlifts) so that proportionally my cleans can be a much lower percentage of my 1RM DL. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with that for 21 reps b/c I don't think I've done that in a metcon before.
185# clean
HSPU - strict
3 rounds, so I should probably have scaled to 175. Possibly I did not warm up enough - last round was done in about 90 seconds and cleans felt vastly easier once Bryan corrected my starting stance (too far over the bar).
I am happy with this as last year at this time it would have been inconceivable for me to attempt 185# cleans in a metcon and I think I was down to just a few HSPU due to being on the heavy side.
185# Clean
HSPU - Strict
Time 7:50
95# Clean, HSPUs to the block
Time: 9:42
tried to do the workout but messed up my wrists after a few reps @ 135#. just like last time - suppose im doing something wrong...
7:13 @ 135# clean, muscle up into ring dips. Only failed on one muscle up attempt
Started at 115, but then had to scale it to 95. Once I got my form 95 was way easy, could have gone back to 115. Ring dips.
5 rounds+2 cleans @185#. did ring hspu which were very hard even though i somewhat cheated due to knuckles partially touching the ground. even so they were much much harder than regular hspu
9:26
105# clean
HSPU to target (a few of those puzzle foam pads stacked on top)
Also worked on DUs before WOD (they are much better but I still don't know how to string them together).
After WOD worked on cleans. Successfully cleaned 135lbs which I was happy about.
6 rounds 2 HSPU's kipping to a target 175# cleans
My thumb on my right hand is in some pain after those cleans. I'm thinking I'm not catching the bar on my shoulders properly. These need major work.....
60# cleans, piking pushups Finished the WOD in 8:24, went on to finish 10 complete rounds in 12:04.
I think perhaps 65# is no longer my 1RM Clean.
11:38 - 95# Cleans/Kipping HSPU
I was halfway thru round 6 at 6 minutes and my HSPUs kept failing. So it took me about 5 minutes to complete the rest of the 1.5 rounds b/c of the HSPUs!
Yeah Bex. Last time I did a 1RM clean (which was like last October)it was 95 or 100. I'm thinking it's not that anymore either.
If you have been following the programming and have improved your deadlift and OLY squat, your clean should be a bit higher now. It does not matter that you have not done it directly.
We shall find out soon.
completed 6 rounds plus 3 cleans (115lb cleans and kipping HSPU to some stacked foam puzzle blocks)
I was basically muscle cleaning almost reverse curling the weight which is kind of impressive but not really very efficient. I know that when I slow down and actually think about it my cleans look much better and feel much better but as soon as its in a metcon my form just goes out the window. I should work some cleans focusing on form into my routine.
learned how to do cleans, then did 10 rounds at 63lbs and HSPUs with some stacked foam mats. 9:05
