For the truly insane CF'ers, who ever is on my team, the kettlebell will have to be swinging the entire time. No standing around just hanging onto the KB. Oh, and we will be using 1.5p = 24 kg = 53 lbs. I'll be at the 5:15 if you'd like to join me for this.

Joe, you're a maniac.

Max effort week continues... Bench Press

I have decided (do to injury problems with my feet) that I must break down and buy weightlifting shoes. Does anyone have suggestions or advice? The Risto shoe looks good, but I understand sizing can be problematic. Does anyone have experience with this?

I bought the Nike Romaleos and like them quite a bit. Nike 13's seem to fit me just right.

Do-win are very popular:

Coach Rippetoe insists on a lower (.5") heel:

When do you plan on wearing the shoes? If your injury problems are causing you to want shoes when you're deaflifting, I'd suggest the lowest heel you can get, which means the Rips.

I guess the primary reason to have healed-shoes is for the olympic lifts to keep me from coming off my heals and transfering load to my mid foot, which is where my injury is. It seems that the more lift the better. A moot point for Deadlifts where even with my botched form I am unlikely to come off my heals. Thanks for your suggestions.
